Don't Put Up With Unwanted Sales Calls.... Taking Positive Action

We all hate sales calls right...?

We spend time and money to promote our business and get all excited about receiving a phone call from a potential customer and you hear the start of a standard sales pitch.......?

Boring, frustrating and unwanted!!

So take action... after all you are probably paying for the call to you and they are taking up your precious time.

Firstly, ALWAYS answer you phone even if you think it is a sales call. YOU JUST DON'T KNOW and second guessing could cost you a lot of money as you will get some genuine calls from numbers outside of your dial code or from commercial businesses that have 0333 type numbers.

Secondly if it is an unsolicited sales call don't be polite and let them do their pitch. Be professional and advise them that the call is unsolicited and you are not interested.

Thirdly, Block numbers that you recognise to be sales calls. You can do this on most mobile phone. On our Tracking numbers we can block numbers if you let us know.

Lastly, register your business numbers with the TPS (Telephone Preference Service). You can even list your mobile. This will significantly reduce sales calls to your phones.

Part of our digital marketing approach is to register your business online with various directories. By registering you are potentially going to get calls to sell you stuff. Just be ready for this and follow the advice above.

  Check this out.... I was in London the other weekend watching my daughter Tori doing the London 10K run. It was a great little run through the streets of the West End, along the Embankment, past Big Ben and then to Downing Street. At the end of the run we decided to go for lunch in Covent Garden.  You'll probably know that there are lots of restaurants around Covent Garden and there is a certain one called Flat Iron. Where is your AIM?

Check out this image....    This is from a workbook from a recent conference I attended. As you know I try and attend a few external conferences to extend, or reinforce, my knowledge. This picture resonated with me so much as I know it to be true for so many business owners. So my question to you is...... Where is your AIM?
